23 Democrat states just hit Donald Trump with one vicious lawsuit that left pro-life Americans white as a ghost

The radical Left refuses to accept Donald Trump’s mandate from the American people.

They’re using every dirty trick in the book to protect their sacred cash cow.

And 23 Democrat states just hit Donald Trump with one vicious lawsuit that left pro-life Americans white as a ghost.

Democrat attorneys general wage lawfare to protect Big Abortion’s bottom line

The ink wasn’t even dry on President Trump’s historic One Big Beautiful Bill before the abortion industry’s political allies launched their counterattack.

A coalition of 23 Democrat-controlled states and the District of Columbia filed a federal lawsuit this week seeking to force American taxpayers to keep funding Planned Parenthood – the nation’s largest abortion business that kills over 400,000 babies every single year.

The lawsuit, spearheaded by New York’s radical Attorney General Letitia James, directly challenges the "Defund Provision" in Trump’s sweeping legislation signed on July 4th.

This provision bars Medicaid funds from flowing to any clinic that performs abortions and received more than $800,000 in federal funding last year.

While the law doesn’t mention Planned Parenthood by name, everyone knows exactly who it targets – and that’s precisely why Democrat attorneys general are scrambling to protect their political benefactors.

The coalition includes the usual suspects from California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.¹

These same states that claim to champion "women’s health" are really just protecting the abortion industry’s massive profit margins built on the blood of innocent children.

Activist Obama judge delivers devastating blow to democracy

The timing of this coordinated assault tells you everything about the Left’s desperation to protect Big Abortion’s taxpayer-funded gravy train.

Just one day before the states filed their lawsuit, Obama-appointed U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani issued a temporary restraining order blocking Trump’s defunding measure.

Talwani – who has a history of activist rulings – claimed that cutting off taxpayer funding to abortion providers would cause "adverse health consequences" for patients.²

Her order completely ignores the most adverse health consequence of all – the systematic murder of over 400,000 babies annually at Planned Parenthood facilities across America.

This same judge had the audacity to claim that Congress violated the First Amendment by "retaliating" against Planned Parenthood for killing babies.

Let that sink in – an unelected federal judge is telling the American people’s elected representatives that they can’t decide how to spend taxpayer dollars because it might hurt an abortion business’s feelings.

The arrogance is breathtaking, even by Washington, D.C. standards.

Pro-life leaders expose the Democrats’ extreme abortion agenda

Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, didn’t mince words when she blasted the Democrats’ lawfare campaign.

"This assault on democracy shows just how extreme the Democrats have become on abortion," Dannenfelser stated. "The party of safe, legal and rare is now the party of forcing taxpayers to prop up Big Abortion’s death facilities with their hard-earned money."³

The numbers don’t lie about where Democrat loyalties really sit.

In 2024, Planned Parenthood spent almost $70 million trying to elect Democrats and impose their radical agenda on America.

These same Democrats then turn around and fight tooth and nail to keep taxpayer dollars flowing back to their political sugar daddy.

It’s a corrupt cycle that puts Big Abortion’s bottom line ahead of the democratic process and the will of the American people.

Dannenfelser pointed out the hypocrisy of Democrat governors like Pennsylvania’s Josh Shapiro, who "presides over a state where abortion complications have tripled and half of the state’s facilities flunk basic health inspections."

Meanwhile, attorneys general like Letitia James and California’s Rob Bonta have actively worked to shut down pregnancy resource centers that actually help women – all while protecting an industry that profits from ending lives.

The real agenda behind the Democrats’ manufactured outrage

California Attorney General Rob Bonta revealed the Democrats’ true priorities when he claimed this fight "isn’t just about abortion" but about "denying vulnerable communities access to care."⁴

This is the same tired playbook the abortion lobby has used for decades – hide behind claims about "healthcare access" while ignoring the reality that community health centers outnumber Planned Parenthood facilities 15 to 1.

Connecticut Attorney General William Tong exposed what this is really about when he complained that his state would have to spend "upwards of $6 million or more" to cover services if Planned Parenthood loses funding.

Translation: Democrat states are furious they might actually have to pay for legitimate healthcare instead of funneling taxpayer money to their favorite abortion business.

The Department of Health and Human Services cut through the Democrats’ spin with a simple truth: "States should not be forced to fund organizations that have chosen political advocacy over patient care."⁵

That’s exactly what Planned Parenthood represents – a political organization masquerading as a healthcare provider while raking in over half a billion taxpayer dollars annually.

Abortion lobby on defense

Since the defunding provision became law, Planned Parenthood has already been forced to close over two dozen abortion centers across several states.

The organization admits this law could force the closure of nearly 200 of its 600 facilities nationwide – which explains their desperate legal maneuvering.

But here’s what the mainstream media won’t tell you: Planned Parenthood could receive federal funding tomorrow if they simply stopped killing babies.

The choice is entirely theirs – continue the slaughter and lose taxpayer funding, or focus on legitimate healthcare and keep the money.

Their refusal to make that choice exposes their true priorities for all of America to see.

Tom Jipping, a senior legal fellow at the Heritage Foundation, called Judge Talwani’s activist ruling "obviously out of bounds," noting that "Congress exercising its explicit constitutional authority to make spending decisions" shouldn’t be subject to judicial interference.⁶

The fight for life continues

This coordinated assault by Democrat attorneys general and activist judges represents everything wrong with the current state of American politics.

Rather than respect the democratic process and the will of the American people who elected Trump with a clear mandate, they’re running to friendly judges to impose their extreme agenda through lawfare.

The case will almost certainly wind its way through federal appeals courts and ultimately land at the Supreme Court.

Pro-life Americans have every reason to be confident in the ultimate outcome, especially with the Court’s current conservative majority.

But the fight reveals just how desperate the abortion industry has become to protect their taxpayer-funded empire built on the destruction of innocent life.

President Trump and the Republican Congress delivered on their promise to stop forcing Americans to subsidize the killing of babies.

Now it’s up to the courts to decide whether unelected judges can override the clearly expressed will of the American people.

The stakes couldn’t be higher – and Big Abortion knows it.
