In April, vandals spray painted violent threats across a Colorado billboard that just said thank you to moms.
The pro-life group behind it didn't back down – they built something bigger instead.
Now their trucks are showing up outside Planned Parenthood clinics nationwide with something Planned Parenthood never shows.
Vandals Hit Their Billboard Twice in 48 Hours
The billboard sat along U.S. 24 near Colorado Springs.
It read "Thanks for life, Mom!" next to a photo of an infant.
Someone spray painted "Trump is a pedophile war criminal!" across it within days.
ProLife Across America, the group that owns it, put up a replacement.
Vandals hit that one too, this time with "Dead Men Don't Rape."
"We are saddened that our billboard meant to honor and support mothers was vandalized," said Angie Johnson, the group's president.
"Acts like this don't just damage property," she said. "They attempt to silence a message."
Johnson said her group has watched vandalism against their billboards climbing since Roe fell in 2022.
Her answer wasn't to back off.
"We will continue to stand for Moms and Babies with compassion and conviction," she said.
Her team planned to relocate the replacement billboard rather than hand the vandals a second win.
Trucks With Fetal Heartbeat Facts Now Park Outside Planned Parenthood Clinics
ProLife Across America has been putting up billboards since 1989, and its static network has grown to 10,450 nationwide.
This summer, the group added something the vandals can't tear down or spray paint overnight.
In some markets, running a digital truck actually costs less than renting a static billboard.
The group says it's raising donations just to keep the trucks on the road.
Digital LED trucks are now parking outside local Planned Parenthood locations in cities across America.
The same trucks show up at festivals and concerts where crowds can top 200,000 people a day.
"The digital trucks are a great solution for reaching a woman going for an abortion appointment," Johnson said.
Every truck runs a hotline number – 800-366-7773 – staffed around the clock.
A QR code on the screen connects a scared woman straight to Heartbeat International's Option Line.
That line puts her on the phone with a real person and points her to a pregnancy center nearby, not a script.
The trucks also show her something Planned Parenthood's waiting room never will.
A baby's heartbeat is detectable just 22 days after conception.
Planned Parenthood doesn't put that on a screen outside its own front door.
ProLife Across America just parked a truck there and did it for them.
The Research on Women Pressured Into Abortion
Here's what the abortion industry doesn't want a scared woman thinking about on her way inside.
A peer-reviewed study of a thousand women published this year in the journal Cureus found nearly 70 percent described their abortions as inconsistent with their own values.
Twenty four percent called their abortion outright unwanted or coerced.
Only a third said the decision was one they genuinely wanted to make.
Roughly six in ten said they would have carried their baby to term with more emotional support or more financial help.
That confirms earlier research finding well over half of women who'd had abortions felt real pressure from someone else to go through with it.
Planned Parenthood has never parked a truck outside its own clinic to tell a woman that.
ProLife Across America did.
This isn't a billboard war anymore – it's a rescue mission running on wheels.
Every truck outside a Planned Parenthood gives a scared woman thirty seconds of truth.
It's truth she was never going to get walking through that door alone.
Vandals can spray paint a wall.
They can't spray paint a truck that moves to the next city the following week.
If Planned Parenthood really believes women want what it's selling, it can park its own truck right next to this one.
It won't, because it knows what happens when she sees that heartbeat first.
That's the whole point, and Angie Johnson knows it.
