A Christian Pro-Life preacher is facing prison for displaying this simple act of love

A 72-year-old preacher felt compelled to share the love and truth of Jesus – and now he’s facing up to a year in prison.

The preacher was accused of violating a new unjust “law” . . .

. . . and you’ll be outraged once you learn how a simple act of love will land him behind bars.

No Bible verses allowed

72-year-old Stephen Green was peacefully standing outside of an abortion center holding a sign that read “Psalm 139:13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.”

But in London, his simple display of faith is illegal.

An abortion worker at the facility noticed Green’s innocent sign, and immediately reported it to the police who deemed it “an emergency.”

Green ended up leaving before the police arrived – but SEVEN MONTHS later was served with a “notice of prosecution,” Live Action News reported.

He was stunned.

But what was his charge?

Violating an abortion buffer zone

Green was apparently in violation of the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) which states it’s a crime to protest “namely engaging in an act of approval/disapproval, with respect to issues related to abortion services,” reported Live Action News.

Christian Concern posted a copy of his charges which read:

‘On 6th February 2023, you did something you were prohibited from doing in an area which is within the Mattock Lane Safe Zone Public Spaces Protection Order outside the MSI Reproductive Choices Clinic in that you:

‘a) Protested by engaging in an act of disapproval or attempted act of act of disapproval with respect to issues related to abortion services, by written means in that you were holding a large sign displaying the text ‘Psalm 139:13 For thou hast possessed me (sic) reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb’

‘b) Had text displayed on a large sign namely ‘‘Psalm 139:13 For thou hast possessed me (sic) reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb’ relating directly or indirectly to the termination of pregnancy.

‘Contrary to Section 67 (1) (a) Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.’

He now faces prison

Although shocked at being labeled a criminal, Green defended his right to hold a Bible verse.

“I see this prosecution as an attack on the Bible and free speech. I am determined to defend myself and fight for justice,” Green said.

“People are right to be concerned about the buffer zone legislation. To bar Christian witness and to control what people can say in an area is draconian and anti-Christian,” stated Green.

He continued “There is a huge principle at stake here. If we are not free to hold a sign with a verse from Psalm 139 on it in a London street, then none of us is free,” reported Christian Concern.

Green’s trial will be January 2024 – and if convicted he could face up to a year in prison.
