While RINOs always look to compromise, some Pro-Life leaders are working tirelessly to pass rock-solid, life-saving Pro-Life legislation.
Their efforts are paying off and saving babies.
And a Pro-Life leader just received a huge award for courage from this national group of legislators.
Kristan Hawkins, President of Students for Life Action (SFLAction) recently spoke at the 2023 National Association of Christian Lawmakers National Policy Conference as the keynote speaker.
“It takes both courage and conviction to make changes for good”
Hawkins also received the American Patriot Award for Christian Honor and Courage, joining past recipients including former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, North Carolina Lt. Governor Mark Robinson, and Ambassador Sam Brownback, former Governor and U.S. Senator from Kansas.
Hawkins used the opportunity to speak out about the continuing fight to pass Pro-Life legislation.
“It takes both courage and conviction to make changes for good, and the National Association of Christian Lawmakers National Policy Conference gathers together lawmakers from across the nation who exhibit both qualities,” said Hawkins.
“I am thrilled to be both speaking and honored with an award at this event as I know that the attendees are strategic partners who will be instrumental in transforming America to become an abortion-free. It is strategic gatherings such as these that get Pro-Life legislation passed across the country.”
In her acceptance speech, Hawkins honed in on the importance of protecting life in law – a topic she has written extensively on while helping the Pro-Life community prepare for a Post-Roe America.
Some of her recent thoughts on Pro-Life policy, can be found in her op-eds in The Hill entitled “Abortion doesn’t need to be a losing issue for Republicans. Here’s what they should say” and in The American Mind entitled “Advice for the GOP on Abortion Policy.”
The President of the National Association of Christian Lawmakers and former Arkansas State Senator Jason Rapert said, “Kristan Hawkins has exhibited tremendous courage advocating for the abolition of abortion in our nation during one of the most critical times in our history – as the Roe decision was overturned and we now fight both federally and state by state for the sanctity of life. She has done so with honor in the face of radical abortion supporters who use hatred and lies to spew venom at her and other Pro-Life supporters. America is fortunate to have Kristan Hawkins as a courageous young leader.”
One nation under God
The theme of this year’s National Association of Christian Lawmakers National Policy Conference was “One Nation Under God,” and it featured leaders from across the nation.
In addition to Hawkins, other speakers included Congressman Bob Good (R-VA) who has been one of the leaders in the fight to hold Speaker Kevin McCarthy accountable.
Also speaking were, Matt Staver, Founder & Chairman of Liberty Counsel; Ohio State Treasurer Robert Sprague; Oklahoma State Treasurer Todd Russ; Standing for Freedom Center Executive Director Ryan Helfenbein; Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United States of America Khazar Ibrahim; D.O., FACOG, and the Founder of ProLife Doc, Inc. Dr. William Lile.
Students for Life Action (SFLAction) is a 501(c)4 that, along with its 501(c)3 sister organization, Students for Life of America (SFLA), make up the nation’s largest Pro-Life youth organization and a political and policy operation engaging people of all ages.
Together they work to end abortion once and for all through providing political, legal, and community support for women and their children, born, and preborn.
SFLA has more than 1,300 groups on middle, high school, college, university, medical, and law school campuses in all 50 states.
Over the last 16 years, President Kristan Hawkins has grown SFLAction/SFLA into an $18 million a year organization preparing for a Post-Roe America.
