A shocking study found 61% of women who had abortions made the same disturbing claim

Pro-Life activists have always said abortion has two victims, the baby who is killed and the mother who is traumatized.

For years pro-abortion radicals have claimed this is untrue.

But a shocking study found 61% of women who had abortions made the same disturbing claim.

The pro-abortion radicals are out in full force trying to promote abortion at any time for any reason and all at taxpayers’ expense.

They are even pushing legislation to allow “abortions” after a baby is born.

In other words, infanticide.

Pro-Life leaders have been warning of this for decades

From the day the Supreme Court ruled on Roe v. Wade in 1973, legalizing abortion in all 50 states, Pro-Life activists have been working and praying for the day it would end.

And throughout the past 50 years, Pro-Life leaders have warned that abortion would led to the next logical step, infanticide.

At first they were ridiculed as pro-abortion forces claimed they wanted abortions rare, safe and legal.

But now we know the truth.

The abortion industry is big bucks and it helps the elitists “cull the herd” as well.

After all, the founder of Planned Parenthood, and abortion icon, was Margaret Sanger who made no secret of why she was in favor of abortion.

Sanger believed it was the best way to get rid of blacks, Jews, Hispanics, the handicapped, and others she and her crowd considered “undesirables.”

Another inconvenient fact pro-abortion activists tried to keep buried

Not only do we now know Pro-Life leaders were right all along about that.

They were also right about another fact.

Most women who have had abortions did so because they felt pressured to do so.

In fact, a study published in January found that 61% of women who have had an abortion said outside pressures influenced their decision to abort.

And additionally, those women who felt pressured into having an abortion were far more likely to have experienced adverse emotional and mental health reactions after the abortion.

The study was conducted by the Charlotte Lozier Institute, an organization that leads the Pro-Life movement with “groundbreaking scientific, statistical, and medical research.”

The Institute surveyed 1,000 women in the United States between the ages of 41 and 45 to determine who had an abortion at some point in their lives.

The women who had at least one abortion were then asked to “rate the pressure to abort arising from male partners, family members, other persons, financial concerns, and other circumstances.”

The study found that a shocking 61% of women experienced “high levels of pressure” to proceed with an abortion.

The respondents also noted that “perceived pressure to abort was significantly associated with more negative emotions.”

Those pressured into abortion were also faced with a higher level of daily life, work, or relationship disruptions, flashbacks to the abortion, and frequent feelings of loss and grief about the abortion.

Not surprisingly those pressured into getting an abortion also had a higher rate of moral conflict over their decision to abort.

Abortion doesn’t empower, it controls

The scientific study puts the lie to the claim by pro-abortion forces that abortion is empowering to women.

Tessa Longbons, senior research associate at Lozier Institute who co-authored the study, made the point that women are not empowered by abortion but rather are controlled by the “abortion industry’s coercion.”

And David Reardon, Ph.D., a Lozier Institute associate scholar and lead author of the study, put it this way, “Abortion clinics cannot claim to be pro-woman while at the same time allowing the majority of their clients to be pressured into unwanted abortions.”

“In a country torn by political debate over abortion, surely these findings underscore one point on which we should all be able to agree,” Reardon continued. “No woman should ever feel pressured into accepting an unwanted abortion. Clearly, abortion clinics need to provide better pre-abortion screening and counseling in order to prevent unsafe and unwanted abortions.”

If only the pro-abortion lobby actually cared about the women who undergo abortions.
