The abortion lobby is determined to eradicate crisis pregnancy centers – and they just might get their way.
In a blatant unconstitutional abuse of power – pro-abortion thugs did the unthinkable.
But if anti-life politicians hope their latest attack on Pro-Lifers will prevail – they better think again.
Anti-life states pass devastating laws
Pro-abortion activists know crisis pregnancy centers help women choose life.
While abortion giants like Planned Parenthood are quick to help women kill their babies, life-saving crisis pregnancy centers connect pregnant moms to resources and empower them throughout their pregnancy.
Of course, the abortion lobby views crisis pregnancy centers as a threat – so they are working lockstep with anti-life politicians to shut them down.
Vermont signed a new law claiming the abortion pill reversal is now considered “unprofessional conduct,” which could result in “denial of a license or other disciplinary action” Live Action News reported.
And in Illinois, the “Deceptive Practices of Limited Services Pregnancy Centers Act” pledges to sic the Attorney General on crisis pregnancy centers if they use “misinformation, deceptive practices, or misrepresentation in order to interfere with access to abortion services.”
Both the Vermont and Illinois laws will shut down crisis pregnancy centers for good – and that is the entire point.
Crisis pregnancy centers lawyer up and fight back
But crisis pregnancy centers aren’t giving up the fight just yet.
In Vermont, Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) filed a lawsuit on behalf of the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates and two pregnancy centers over the unconstitutional laws that restrict free speech.
ADF Legal Counsel Julia Payne said “Women who become unexpectedly pregnant should be empowered with life-affirming options, emotional support, and practical resources.”
“Vermont’s law, however, does the opposite – it impedes women’s ability to receive critical services during a difficult time in their lives and suppresses the free-speech rights of faith-based pregnancy centers. Pregnancy centers should be free to serve women and offer the support they need without fear of unjust government punishment,” Payne continued.
And in Illinois, The Thomas More Society who is representing the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates released a similar blistering response.
Thomas More Society Executive Vice President and Head of Litigation Peter Breen said “This law is a blatant attempt to chill and silence pro-life speech under the guise of ‘consumer protection.’”
“Pregnancy help ministries provide real options and assistance to women and families in need, but instead of the praise they deserve, pro-abortion politicians are targeting these ministries with $50,000 fines and injunctions solely because of their pro-life viewpoint,” continued Breen.
The abortion lobby is testing Pro-Lifers
The abortion lobby hopes Pro-Lifers will become discouraged and give up the fight for life.
But they’ve got another thing coming.
Abortion activists can’t expect to trample on the rights of crisis pregnancy centers who have the right to express their Pro-Life views and think Pro-Lifers will simply walk away.
If anything, Illinois and Vermont have motivated Pro-Lifers all across America to fight back.
And any politician who attacks the freedom of speech that crisis pregnancy centers are guaranteed through the Constitution better get ready for the fight of their lives – because Pro-Lifers aren’t going away.
