Democrats claim to be the party that cares about people.

But more and more Americans are realizing Democrats are the party of death and destruction.

And Arizona’s radical Democrat Governor Katie Hobbs just protected infanticide with this appalling veto.

Arizona’s Democrat Governor Katie Hobbs recently vetoed legislation that would have ensured basic medical care for infants who survive attempted abortions.

Hobbs is allowing infanticide

Since Republicans in the State Legislature don’t have the votes to override the veto, the bill is dead for the year.

And Hobbs’ veto means more babies will die due to denying basic medical care to a living, breathing, human being.

The bill Hobbs vetoed, SB 1600, would have required “any infant who is born alive, including one born during the course of an abortion” to be “treated as a legal person” and given “the same rights to medically appropriate and reasonable care and treatment” as a child born in any other circumstance.

Had the bill become law, failure to comply would have been required to be reported to law enforcement, and violations grounds for suspension or revocation of medical licenses.

Honestly, it’s a very reasonable approach to prevent infanticide.

But Hobbs and the radical abortion lobby would not stand for any protections for babies, either inside the womb or out.

The abortion lobby has gone from “safe, legal, and rare” to “kill them all – born or unborn.”

Unfounded claims and outright lies

In her veto message, Hobbs made the completely unfounded claim the bill was “uniformly opposed by the medical community.”

She further went on to claim it “interferes with the relationship between a patient and doctor. It’s simply not the state’s role to make such difficult medical decisions for patients.”

Sorry Governor Hobbs, defending innocent life is your number one role as an elected official, and not doing so is grounds for impeachment.

And to claim it is “uniformly opposed by the medical community” is simply an outright lie.

As Cathi Herrod, President of the Center for Arizona Policy put it, “Governor Hobbs played coy during her campaign but now her radical views are on full display; she just gave the okay to infanticide. Governor Hobbs has just shown her true colors; she is more devoted to her political special interest groups than she is to serving all Arizonans, even the most vulnerable and needy.”

Pro-abortion activists have weakly attempted to discredit born-alive protections by claiming that infanticide is a myth.

Yet they sure fight hard to defeat legislation for what they claim is a “myth.”

If it really never happens, then these laws are nothing to fight against.

And several former abortion industry insiders have testified before Congress or admitted under oath that it does indeed happen.

“Although the United States fails to record reliable data on abortion survivors, we have estimated, through Canadian government extrapolations, that 1,734 infants are born alive after a failed abortion procedure every year in the United States,” according to the Abortion Survivors Network. “In other words, about 2 out of every 1,000 abortions result in a live birth. After 49.5 years of Roe v. Wade, 85,817 babies lived through an abortion procedure.”

Hobbs’s veto of the born alive act is the latest consequence of Democrats gaining control of the Arizona Governor’s mansion.

It’s time that all Americans stop supporting politicians whose main goal is the murder of children.
