Arkansas residents are fed up with the Left’s attempt to legalize abortion in their state

Abortion is currently on the ballot this fall in Colorado, Maryland, South Dakota, and Florida.

But the Abortion Lobby is hoping to add another six states to the list.

And Arkansas residents are fed up with the Left’s attempt to legalize abortion in their state.

It’s been nearly two years since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade with the Dobbs decision.

14 states have passed total abortion bans since the Dobbs decision in 2022.

Since Joe Biden has zero accomplishments to run on in November, Democrats are pushing to make abortion be the top issue of the election.

As part of this effort, the Abortion Lobby is spending millions of dollars to try and place an abortion referendum on the ballot in several states this fall.

They’ve already met the requirements to place abortion on the ballot in Florida, Maryland, South Dakota, and Colorado.

And they’re hoping to add six more states – Montana, Nevada, Arizona, Nebraska, Missouri, and Arkansas – to the list over the next few weeks.

But Pro-Life Americans in some of these areas have had enough of the Abortion Lobby spending millions of dollars to try and make it legal to kill babies in their state.

According to the Associated Press, Pro-Lifers are “using an array of strategies to counter proposed ballot initiatives intended to protect reproductive rights or prevent voters from having a say in the fall elections.”

“The tactics include attempts to get signatures removed from initiative petitions, legislative pushes for competing ballot measures that could confuse voters and monthslong delays caused by lawsuits over ballot initiative language,” the AP reported. “Abortion rights advocates say many of the strategies build off ones tested last year in Ohio, where voters eventually passed a constitutional amendment affirming reproductive rights.”

One of these states is Arkansas.

In order to place a referendum on the ballot, the Abortion Lobby must gather 91,000 signatures by the July 5 deadline.

The group Arkansans for Limited Government (AFLG) is leading the push for the Abortion Lobby in the state.

According to staff, they are about “three-quarters” of the way to having the required number of signatures needed to place abortion on the ballot.

But the Family Council is giving the Left a dose of its own medicine.

Last week, the Family Council posted a list of 79 people being paid by Arkansans for Limited Government to collect signatures in the state.

They obtained the list legally through a Freedom of Information Act request.

And the Abortion Lobby is fuming.

“The canvassers working tirelessly to collect petitions in support of the Arkansas Abortion Amendment are proud of the work they are doing to promote reproductive liberty in the state and to engage in direct democracy — they aren’t hiding,” the group stated in a press release. “But when the Family Council releases lists of their names and whereabouts to their network of anti-choice protestors who vehemently, and sometimes violently, disagree with our work, it puts our team at great risk for harassment, stalking, and other dangers.”

AFLG called their tactics “ugly, transparently menacing, and unworthy of Arkansas.”

“We won’t be intimidated,” they added.

Arkansas Right to Life is also leading a “Decline to Sign” campaign that encourages people not to sign petitions for the ballot referendum.

Democrats and the Left have been trying to force abortion-on-demand on every state since 2022.

Pro-Life Americans have finally had enough.

And they are letting the Abortion Lobby know that they aren’t welcome in their state.

Pro-Life Press will keep you up-to-date on any developments to this ongoing story.
