Group of young pro-lifers refuse to bend to the Abortion Lobby despite mounting pressure from their peers

With the start of the New Year, many state legislatures are beginning their sessions.

Now is the time when both pro-life and pro-abortion laws are being considered in dozens of states.

And a group of young pro-lifers are refusing to bend to the Abortion Lobby despite mounting pressure from their peers.

Students for Life Action (SFLAction) has big plans to protect the preborn this year.

The group played a major role in defeating pro-abortion initiatives last November and held pro-abort politicians accountable for their records on abortion.

SFLAction has proved they are serious about defending life, and politicians are coming to realize they are a force to be reckoned with.

Now the group has announced they will be holding lobby days in 26 states between the start of the year and mid-April, with the aim of passing more pro-life legislation as part of their “Make America Pro-Life Again” initiative.

“As state legislative sessions begin, the Pro-Life Generation calls on all elected leaders to protect life in law and in service, especially in light of the loss of the most pro-abortion, Presidential ticket in U.S. history. Legislation related to the number one method and means of abortion – Chemical Abortion Pills – need special attention, as women, the preborn, and even the environment face risks from the deadly pills,” said SFLA Vice President of Political Affairs Chanel Jacobs. “Students for Life Action will lobby in key states to remind them of the pro-life movement’s priorities and the legislative path forward to undermine the extreme abortion initiatives that passed in the 2024 election.”

SFLA is working to advance the pro-life cause on the federal, state, and local levels.

The group will work to pass legislation including Life at Conception, which will protect all babies, as well as bills to prevent abortion pill trafficking.

SFLA will also work to prevent any existing state pro-life laws from carve-outs that allow abortion based on gestational age, circumstances of conception, or medical diagnosis.

The group will also work to defund the abortion industry, especially Planned Parenthood.

And much of the work is being done by college students who often face pressure from their friends and family to just stay quiet on the issue.

But they’re not backing down.

SFLAction is also encouraging pro-family employment strategies such as more paid family leave and child tax credits.

Additionally, SFLA is calling on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to track “forever chemicals” from Chemical Abortion Pills.

While SFLAction and other pro-life groups had some success last November defeating pro-abortion state constitutional amendments, several states have passed the measure.

But as these devoted students will tell you, that doesn’t mean all pro-life legislation is off the table in these states, and that’s why these young people have vowed to continue to fight for the preborn.

With abortion measures being considered in more than half of all states this year, there’s no doubt these young people will be very busy.

There will be many opportunities on both the state and federal level to pass bills that will ultimately save babies.

Many politicians promised to defend life during their campaigns last year, and now is the time for them to keep those promises.

SFLA will be sure to keep them accountable for their promises.

Pro-Life Press will keep you up-to-date on any developments to this ongoing story.
