Harrison Butker just doubled down on these huge issues and said, “I Stand Behind Them”

Kansas City Chiefs star kicker Harrison Butker has infuriated the radical woke Left.

But rather than apologizing for his conservative views, Butker has held firm.

And Harrison Butker just doubled down on these huge issues and said, “I Stand Behind Them.”

Just after he received a new contract to continue playing for the Kansas City Chiefs, noted pro-life kicker Harrison Butker said he stands behind comments he made at a Catholic university commencement that radical leftists condemned.

Butker takes on Joe Biden

Butker, a three-time Super Bowl-winning kicker for the Chiefs, blasted Joe Biden during a commencement speech at Benedictine College.

Butker’s remarks have gone viral on social media.

The Chiefs kicker said, “Our own nation is led by a man who proudly proclaims his Catholic faith, but at the same time is delusional enough to make the Sign of The Cross during a pro-abortion rally.”

“He has been so vocal in his support for the murder of innocent babies that I’m sure to many people it appears you can be both Catholic and pro-choice,” Butker added.

Now, in a new interview, Butker, rather than backing down to the Left, stood by his remarks and others he made defending his wife and their traditional marriage.

“I feel like, seven years in the league, having this platform, I’ve just decided, you know what, there’s things that I believe wholeheartedly that I think will make this world a better place, and I’m going to preach that,” he said. “And if people don’t agree, they don’t agree, but I’m going to continue to say what I believe to be true and love everyone along the way.”

“I prayed about it, and I thought about it, and I was very intentional with what I said, and I stand behind what I said,” he added.

“My whole career, I’ve talked about how I’m a husband and I’m a father before it comes to me as a kicker, something I’ve always preached,” he said. “But then when I use that to talk about women, I say that they should embrace and love being wives and being mothers over their career, I think then it gets construed that I’m trying to put women down, which I’m not at all.”

The NFL attacks, then walks it back

“I can tell you that my beautiful wife, Isabelle, would be the first to say that her life truly started when she started living her vocation as a wife and as a mother,” Butker said during the speech.

The NFL at first attacked Butker for his speech, but after coming under fire from football fans from across the country, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell walked back the league’s criticism.

“Listen, we have over 3,000 players,” Goodell said. “They have diversity of opinions and thoughts just like America does.”

“I think that’s something we treasure. That’s part of what ultimately makes us as a society better. We’re not going to go much beyond the statement we made last week,” he added.

Previously, NFL Senior Vice President Jonathan Beane had said of Butker’s comments, “Harrison Butker gave a speech in his personal capacity. His views are not those of the NFL as an organization. The NFL is steadfast in our commitment to inclusion, which only makes our league stronger.”

Butker, in his remarks, also urged the Christian church to stand up stronger for Christian values.

“We need to stop pretending that the church of nice is a winning proposition,” Butker said. “…We must always speak and act in charity. But never mistake charity for cowardice.”

He continued: “The world around us says that we should keep our beliefs to ourselves whenever they go against the tyranny of diversity, equity and inclusion. We fear speaking the truth, because now, unfortunately, truth is in the minority.”

By not kneeling at the altar of woke leftist ideology, Harrison Butker is showing the way for conservatives and pro-lifers.
