Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker is back in the news again.
And he still isn’t backing down from his strong conservative positions.
And Harrison Butker just drop-kicked his fellow Catholic J.D. Vance over this vital issue.
The NFL season is getting set to start even as election season heats up.
It’s time to step up and defend the unborn
Harrison Butker has once again spoken out about his religious beliefs, especially as they relate to the abortion issue.
The Kansas City Chiefs kicker recently wrote on X that he “implore[s]” former President Trump’s running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance, (R-OH), to defend the unborn.
Butker made the post in a clear disagreement with former president Donald Trump, who said in a Truth Social post that his “Administration will be great for women and their reproductive rights.”
Butker began his post by sharing a screenshot of Trump’s seemingly pro-abortion words, saying, “No party or candidate is perfect.”
He then addressed his pointed pro-life message to Vance.
“I implore my fellow Catholic @JDVance to help bring the Republican Party back in line with the foundational platform that all life is valuable and there can be no compromise when it comes to defending the unborn,” Butker wrote.
Butker then shared a quote from Father Chad Ripperger, which appeared to show he doesn’t necessarily agree with all of Trump’s beliefs, especially on the abortion issue.
The quote reads, “Our obligation is to vote for the lesser of two evils because voting for a lesser evil preserves the good that could be potentially lost.”
This is not Butker’s first foray into the important issue of abortion.
Last year, during the Super Bowl-winning Chiefs’ visit to the White House, Butker was seen wearing a tie that had “Vulnerari Praesidio” in cursive writing all over it.
Vulnerari Praesidio is a Latin term that translates to “Protect the most vulnerable” and is a rallying cry for the pro-life movement.
Joe Biden’s delusional stance on abortion
He also wore a gold pin representing the size of a 10-week-old baby’s feet.
Butker also attacked President Biden’s “delusional” stance on abortion during his commencement speech at Benedictine College in May of this year.
“[Biden] has been so vocal in his support for the murder of innocent babies that I’m sure to many people it appears that you can be both Catholic and pro-choice,” he said.
And Butker said in an interview with EWTN News in March that unborn babies “are the greatest victims of our society.”
Shortly after his strong pro-life speech, Burker’s jersey sales skyrocketed, and they became one of the most popular jerseys on the market.
Democrats have decided to run their entire campaign on expanding abortion-on-demand with no limits.
They are marching lock-step on the issue, in the hopes Americans will overlook the failed economy, high prices, wide-open border, and failed foreign policy and vote solely on killing babies.
Meanwhile Republicans have been schizophrenic on the issue, at best.
This has caused many pro-life voters to question if they should even turn out to vote this year.
Republicans would do well to follow the lead of Harrison Butker and defend life.
