Last year the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.
The decision saved thousands of lives but infuriated pro-abortion forces.
And now the Supreme Court is taking up another major abortion case which had Joe Biden losing his mind.
Just eighteen months after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in the Dobbs case, another major abortion case has returned to the high court.
The next big battle over abortion
The justices just agreed to hear a case regarding the raging legal battle over the abortion pill mifepristone.
They have agreed to review an appeals court decision that, if the high court upholds it, would impose significant restrictions on access to the deadly drug.
The case comes as the American people and courts continue to debate the Court’s 2022 decision to overturn Roe, the horribly decided 1973 decision that established a constitutional right to abortion and resulted in more than 60 million deaths.
The court’s decision on the case is expected to come in June 2024 just as the important 2024 presidential race heats up.
While it is far too early to know just how the court will decide on the case, and a decision to refuse the case would have been a better outcome, pro-life leaders are hopeful that the justices will follow the overturning of Roe by upholding the limits on the chemical abortion drug.
The battle over widespread distribution and use of the deadly chemical abortion pill has become the next big battleground over abortion.
Biden’s FDA overstepped its authority
The case the high court will hear stems from a federal appeals court in Louisiana, which ruled it intended to limit access to mifepristone.
The appeals court ruled last summer that Joe Biden’s Food and Drug Administration overstepped its authority when it made it easier for women to obtain the drug by allowing prescriptions to be filled by mail.
That ruling from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit was then put on hold until the U.S. Supreme Court makes a final decision on the matter.
The high court actually decided to hear two cases on the matter.
The first case comes from the Biden administration, and the other from the maker of a generic version of the pill.
And the cases come in the midst of the ongoing fallout from last year’s abortion decision.
The Dobbs decision overturning Roe sent the issue back to the states and it continues to alter the country’s political and legal landscape.
It also comes even as several state courts are already considering other abortion restrictions.
In Texas, the state’s Supreme Court just ruled that a Dallas area mother carrying a fetus with a potentially fatal condition did not qualify for an abortion because her doctor had not met a legal standard required to obtain an exception to the state law.
The high court’s decision to hear these cases shows the battle over abortion continues to rage and proves that the Biden administration remains Hell-bent on promoting abortion on demand through any means.
Pro-life forces must continue to fight back – lives are on the line.
