Kamala Harris was shocked when Ron DeSantis welcomed her to Florida with open arms

Florida’s ban on abortion after six weeks of gestation went into effect on Wednesday.

Vice President Kamala Harris traveled to Jacksonville to deliver a pro-abortion speech and attack the new law protecting innocent unborn babies in Florida.

But Kamala Harris was shocked when Ron DeSantis welcomed her to Florida with open arms.

Kamala Harris is obsessed with abortion-on-demand.

Not only does the Vice President believe abortion should be legal for any reason all the way up until birth, but she celebrates the evil act of killing babies.

She became the first sitting Vice President to visit an abortion mill back in March.

In Jacksonville, Harris tried to make the issue of abortion be about “freedom.”

“So, listen, I think we all know this is a fight for freedom,” she ranted. “This is a fight for freedom — the fundamental freedom to make decisions about one’s own body and not have their government tell them what they’re supposed to do.”

Harris spouted her typical talking points during her trip to Jacksonville where she referred to the new law as the “Trump abortion ban.”

“Across our nation, we witnessed a full-on assault state by state on reproductive freedom,” she said. “And understand who is to blame,” she continued, before adding “former President Donald Trump did this.”

“Now, present day, because of Donald Trump, more than 20 states have abortion bans, more than 20 Trump abortion bans,” she declared.

Harris claimed that “one does not have to abandon their faith or deeply held beliefs” to support killing innocent babies.

While Harris attacked Trump during her speech, it was Florida Governor Ron DeSantis who signed the six-week ban into law.

And Ron DeSantis welcomed Harris to Florida with open arms, but not because he supports her or stands for abortion.

“I welcome Biden-Harris to spend a lot of money in Florida,” DeSantis said. “Light up the airwaves, do it, light it on fire, we’re fine with you doing that here, but I can confidently predict that you’ll see Republican victories, not just at the top of the ticket, but up and down the ballot,” he continued. “And I think that’s a good thing.”

DeSantis noted how Florida went from having nearly 300,000 more registered Democrats than Republicans to now having almost 900,000 more Republicans since he took office.

“Just with those demographics, I think it is a very uphill climb,” he said. “But I also think it’s an uphill climb because of Biden’s failed leadership and failed policies,” he continued. “It’s hard for middle-class people to afford a home because interest rates are over 7%.”

“They were a lot lower when Trump was in office, now they’re through the roof and peoples’ payments have doubled, effectively for the average price of a home,” DeSantis told reporters. “He’s let in 10 million people illegally across our Southern border, yes, criminal aliens, yes people from terrorist-sponsoring regimes, Maduro has released people from prison and sent them to the border.”

Of course, Harris and Biden are trying to make abortion the top issue this fall.

“And this November, up and down the ballot, reproductive freedom is on the ballot,” Harris said during her speech. “And you, the leaders — you, the people, have the power to protect it with your vote.”

DeSantis pointed out why they are focusing so much on abortion.

He said the only reason Harris and Biden are trying to make the election about abortion is because their record is a flat-out disaster.

“If that was the record you had, I understand, they would try to figure out anything they could to try to change the focus from the failed leadership,” he said. “But they failed on fiscal policy, on inflation, on interest rates, on the border — and by the way, is the world more peaceful than it was when Trump was president? Not even close.”

The pro-abortion Left will spend hundreds of millions of dollars over the next few months to try and convince Americans to believe that abortion is a sacred “freedom” that must be defended.

That’s why it’s critical for Pro-Life Americans to stand up, fight back, and vote this fall.
