Melania Trump Executive Order Drew Fire Over One Missing Word Biden Also Left Out

Melania Trump stood beside her husband on October 19 and launched a brand-new Women's Health Division at the National Institutes of Health.

Pro-abortion activists didn't celebrate a single piece of it and went straight on the attack.

Their fury came down to one missing word, and Joe Biden left out the exact same one.

Trump's Women's Health Executive Order Launches a New NIH Division

President Trump signed the order, titled "Advancing Women's Health to Improve Outcomes in All Phases of Life," with the First Lady at his side.

It directs HHS to stand up the new NIH division and speed medical breakthroughs from the lab to the doctor's office.

It also creates a White House Women's Health Task Force to drive policy and regulatory reform.

The target list reads like a roll call of every threat facing the women you love – heart disease, cancer, stroke, Alzheimer's, osteoporosis, endometriosis, infertility, menopause, and maternal health.

The order promises that research, diagnosis, and treatment will "reflect the highest quality scientific evidence."

The order scraps a 2024 Biden executive order and replaces his first lady-led initiative with a formal task force run by officials.

Pro-Abortion Critics Ignore Biden's Own 2024 Women's Health Order

The online pushback came fast.

The complaint wasn't about heart disease or cancer research.

It was that the order never mentions abortion.

"Then bring back legal abortion," one X user fired back, adding that "women's rights include the right to health care."

Others griped about the ongoing federal safety review of the abortion pill mifepristone and the one-year cut to Planned Parenthood's Medicaid money, which has since been restored.

Not one of them brought up Joe Biden's record.

Biden's own 2024 women's health research order didn't mention abortion either.

Not once.

The same omission only became a crisis once a Trump signed it.

U.S. Maternal Mortality Rate Rose Under Roe and Fell After Dobbs

The abortion industry wants you to believe legal abortion keeps mothers alive.

The numbers tell a very different story.

U.S. maternal deaths bottomed out at about 7.5 per 100,000 live births in 1984, according to data compiled by Live Action News.

By 2013, with abortion legal nationwide, the rate had climbed to 28.

That's more than double the 1990 rate of 12.

In 2013, United Nations figures put Poland at 3 maternal deaths per 100,000, Israel at 2, and Malta at 9.

Malta banned abortion for any reason, and Poland allowed it only in rare circumstances.

Both protected mothers far better than America did under Roe.

The U.S. rate then peaked at 33.8 in February 2022, during the pandemic and while Roe was still the law of the land.

By February 2026, preliminary CDC data put it at 15.4.

That's less than half the Roe-era peak.

Even some abortion supporters concede the point.

Case Western's Dr. David Hackney admitted "many of the worst predictions have not come to pass," as Charlotte Lozier Institute scholar Michael New reported in National Review.

Miscarriage and Ectopic Pregnancy Treatment Is Not Abortion

The pro-abortion crowd keeps blurring a line every honest OB-GYN understands.

Treating a miscarriage is not an abortion.

Removing an ectopic pregnancy is not an abortion.

An emergency C-section to save a mother in crisis is not an abortion.

Every one of those treatments is legal in every state.

What separates real medicine from abortion is intent – one fights to save lives, the other is designed to end one.

Just ask Valerie Abraham.

Shy of 18 weeks into her fifth pregnancy, a placental abruption left her hemorrhaging.

Idaho doctors moved her to a trauma bay, readied a massive transfusion, and stabilized her under one of America's strongest pro-life laws.

"I found compassionate, competent physicians who took care of me AND my baby," she wrote in Live Action News.

Her daughter Amal arrived far too early and lived 43 minutes, held and prayed over by her family.

Valerie credits Idaho's law with giving Amal a gentle, dignified goodbye.

Abortion Pill Complications Make Melania's Order More Urgent

For nearly fifty years, the abortion industry sold America the lie that "women's health" and abortion were the same thing, and Roe never delivered the safer motherhood it promised.

Meanwhile, an Ethics and Public Policy Center analysis of 865,727 abortion pill cases found 10.93 percent of women suffered sepsis, infection, hemorrhage, or other serious complications.

The next test belongs to Melania Trump herself – make sure the new NIH division spends its first dollars on the hemorrhages, heart failures, and abortion pill complications that put real mothers in the emergency room.
