Donald Trump is busy filling out the top roles in his upcoming administration.
And so far, he’s made a number of picks that have given pro-lifers hope.
And President-elect Donald Trump just picked this pro-life leader to serve in his administration in a key role.
President Donald Trump has picked a well-known pro-life leader to serve as his Ambassador to the Holy See.
Trump received more Catholic votes than any presidential candidate in history
Brian Burch is the president and co-founder of CatholicVote, a prominent and respected pro-life group.
Burch and his wife, Sara, have nine children and live in the Chicago suburbs.
“I am pleased to announce that Brian Burch will serve as the next United States Ambassador to the Holy See. Brian is a devout Catholic, a father of nine, and President of CatholicVote,” Trump said in a statement.
“He has received numerous awards, and demonstrated exceptional leadership, helping build one of the largest Catholic advocacy groups in the Country. He represented me well during the last Election, having garnered more Catholic votes than any Presidential Candidate in History,” Trump added.
Trump concluded by saying, “Brian loves his Church and the United States – He will make us all proud. Congratulations to Brian, his wife Sara, and their incredible family!”
Burch took to social media to say that as ambassador he would “promote the dignity of all people and the common good.”
He wrote on X that he is “deeply honored and humbled to have been nominated” for the position.
“The Catholic Church is the largest and most important religious institution in the world, and its relationship to the United States is of vital importance,” he wrote. “I am committed to working with leaders inside the Vatican and the new administration to promote the dignity of all people and the common good.”
A huge change from Joe Biden’s radical pro-abortion administration
“To God be the glory,” Burch also wrote.
According to a Washington Post exit poll, Donald Trump won the Catholic vote by a whopping 15-point margin this year, which was a 10-point swing from the 2020 election.
One big reason for the change was the Biden administration’s radical pro-abortion policies and the targeting of Catholics by the Biden Department of Justice.
The Biden DOJ even placed operatives within conservative Catholic parishes.
And they targeted, arrested, and prosecuted pro-life activists for simply peacefully praying on public sidewalks.
Among those was Catholic pro-life activist and father of eleven, Mark Houck, who was found not guilty of federal charges brought by the Biden DOJ.
Meanwhile, the DOJ has all but ignored violent pro-abortion criminals who have vandalized, broken into, and even firebombed churches and pro-life centers.
Joe Biden selected former Senator Joe Donnelly, who claims to be Catholic, as ambassador to the Holy See even though Donnelly voted rabidly pro-abortion while in the Senate.
The moves by President-elect Donald Trump have so far been a welcome change of pace for the pro-life movement.
And at the very least, there are strong signs many of Biden’s worst pro-abortion actions will be reversed.
Picks like Brian Burch show that even extends to the international stage.
