Donald Trump ended Joe Biden’s anti-Christian weaponization of government and unlawful targeting of people of faith.
But the anti-Christian bias went beyond the federal government and extended into cities and states across the country.
And Sarah Huckabee Sanders just put an end to the anti-Christian bias in Arkansas’ child welfare services.
Joe Biden and the Democrats made life as difficult as possible for pro-life Christians during his four years in office.
Attorney General Merrick Garland weaponized the Justice Department against Christians on Joe Biden’s behalf.
Garland brought felony charges and obtained multi-year prison sentences for nearly two dozen pro-life Christians for the “crime” of praying and peacefully demonstrating outside abortion clinics.
Meanwhile, the Justice Department turned a blind eye to the hundreds of attacks on Catholic churches, charities, and pro-life centers.
A 2023 memo from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) even labeled traditional Catholics as “domestic terrorists” and suggested infiltrating churches for “threat mitigation.”
And to add insult to injury, Joe Biden declared Easter Sunday in 2024 as “Transgender Day of Visibility.”
Joe Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services also attempted to drive Christians out of the foster-care system.
Donald Trump signed an Executive Order establishing a task force to end the anti-Christian weaponization of government that Joe Biden put in place.
“My Administration will not tolerate anti-Christian weaponization of government or unlawful conduct targeting Christians,” Trump’s order read. “The law protects the freedom of Americans and groups of Americans to practice their faith in peace, and my Administration will enforce the law and protect these freedoms,” Trump continued. “My Administration will ensure that any unlawful and improper conduct, policies, or practices that target Christians are identified, terminated, and rectified.”
In his order, Trump pointed out how “the Biden Department of Health and Human Services sought to drive Christians who do not conform to certain beliefs on sexual orientation and gender identity out of the foster-care system.”
This also takes place at the state and local levels in many places in America.
Several states have pushed Christians out of the foster care and adoption system if they believe in biblical sexuality.
But Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders just signed a bill that prevents adoptive agencies and foster care providers from discriminating against potential parents due to their religious beliefs.
Known as the Keep Kids First Act, the bill prohibits the state from requiring “any private child placement agency to perform assist, counsel, recommend, consent to, refer, or participate in any placement of a child for foster care or adoption when the proposed placement would violate the private child placement agency’s sincerely held religious or moral beliefs.”
Alliance Defending Freedom Senior Counsel Greg Chafuen praised the legislation and said, “every child deserves a loving home that can provide them stability and opportunities to grow.”
“Other states have put politics over people by excluding caring families and faith-based adoption and foster care organizations from helping children find loving homes,” he wrote in a statement. “Thankfully, Arkansas has taken the critical step to pass HB 1669, the Keep Kids First Act, which prioritizes the well-being of kids by prohibiting state and local government officials from discriminating against adoption and foster care providers and parents simply because of their religious beliefs and moral convictions.”
Of course, the Left reacted with outrage to Arkansas upholding the religious liberty of Christian Americans.
“This harmful legislation would codify the exclusion many LGBTQ individuals and couples already face when trying to foster or adopt,” the ACLU of Arkansas said in a statement.
“Instead of enshrining discrimination into law, our state should be working to ensure that every child in Arkansas has the opportunity to grow up in a safe, loving home,” the statement read. “HB 1669 prioritizes prejudice over the best interests of children and undermines efforts to provide stable, affirming families for those in need.”
But this is demonstrably false.
According to Barna Research, “practicing Christians are twice as likely to foster or adopt than the general population,” and “they are also more likely to welcome sibling groups, older youth, and children with special needs.”
The tide is turning in the Left’s war on Christianity.
