An assassin's bullet killed Charlie Kirk while he was taking questions from students at Utah Valley University.
One year later, young pro-lifers carrying on his campus fight hauled a new display onto 150 college campuses.
And plenty of the students who stop to argue with it are walking away changed.
Students for Life Opened Its Abortion Victims Tour in San Bernardino
Students for Life of America launched its fall tour on September 8, the week of the first anniversary of Kirk's murder.
It's called "Abortion Victims: Every Abortion Has a Human Cost," and it will hit 150 campuses in more than 40 states.
The first stop was California State University at San Bernardino – deep in Gavin Newsom country.
The display is a five-board pyramid with panels on the front and back, so students coming from either direction see it.
It shows who abortion hurts – preborn children, women pressured into abortions they didn't want, trafficking survivors, and children with disabilities.
Students for Life President Kristan Hawkins said the tour "continues that legacy by giving students the tools to engage their peers."
She said Kirk showed the way by bringing "hard conversations directly to college campuses."
He had a simple way of doing it.
In a 2025 debate, when a student insisted a baby in the womb wasn't a person, Kirk asked, "What species is the baby in the womb?"
"It's a human," the student answered.
"Therefore, they should have human rights," Kirk said.
Georgetown and Utah Students Mocked the Charlie Kirk Assassination Anniversary
The students carrying these displays know exactly what's waiting for them.
At Georgetown University, an anonymous post on the campus app Fizz promoted a "Charlie Kirk lookalike contest" for September 10 – the day he died.
"Pull up to Copley Lawn to speak the truth while the cost is high," it read.
The post racked up more than 2,200 upvotes on a campus of roughly 6,000 undergraduates.
Georgetown condemned the posts and said no student group was planning the event, but the damage was done.
"I think some of us have lost sight of the difference between disagreeing with someone's politics and celebrating their death," said Heidi Sui, president of Georgetown's Turning Point USA chapter.
At the University of Utah, a student walked up to College Republicans on the anniversary with a cake that read "Happy Kirkiversary" in red icing.
When Riley Beesley and Rylie Barnes posted a photo of it, the university summoned them to disciplinary meetings for "doxxing."
The school canceled the meetings only after the backlash.
Pro-life students have been in the crosshairs the whole time.
In late 2025, the pro-life club at the University of Southern Maine found this on the anonymous app Yik Yak: "[T]hese Charlie Kirk enthusiasts gotta be careful don't they know what happened to the guy."
"We knew that now more than ever, you have to speak out, and you have to be authentic about who you are," said Matthew Gozzi, a Students for Life coordinator.
Hawkins notes that campuses have as many as 82 left-leaning professors for every conservative one, and 93 percent of students admit they censor themselves to some degree.
"If our trauma leaves us silent, only one side will be heard," she wrote in National Review.
Pro-Life Display Changed the Minds of Nearly One in Four College Students
The young pro-lifers refused to go quiet, and it's paying off.
By the group's count, its spring 2026 "Chemical Abortion Hurts" tour changed the minds of 23 percent of students who stopped to engage.
That's nearly one out of every four young people walking away thinking differently about abortion.
Spokeswoman Lydia Taylor Davis is now taking an "Abortion is Anti-Woman" message to eight universities through November 5.
One of them is Georgetown.
"True support for women is to help them through pregnancy and motherhood, not to force abortion," Davis said.
Charlie Kirk's Abortion Question Just Reached 150 More College Campuses
The bullet that killed Charlie Kirk did not end the arguing on campus.
It spread the arguing to 150 more campuses.
The Georgetown students who upvoted a lookalike contest and the Utah student with the anniversary cake were mocking a murdered man.
Now a pro-life woman is headed to Georgetown, and pyramids showing exactly what abortion does are going up on campuses across the country.
Kirk asked a simple question – what species is the baby in the womb.
Thousands of college kids are about to hear it again.
