The abortion lobby is one step closer to making Florida the next abortion destination

The Sunshine State is gearing up to be the next battleground state to push back against the radical pro-abort agenda.

But the abortion lobby just announced their unthinkable path forward to make Florida the next abortion destination.

And according to anti-life activists – it’s already a done deal.

A new abortion ballot measure

After the abortion lobby succeeded in turning Ohio into the next abortion destination – they are seeking to take the “Ohio blueprint” nationwide.

And now it’s on to Florida.

Abortion activists want to change Florida’s constitution to make abortion a “constitutional right” – but to do so they need to bring it before the voters.

So, in a massive campaign to get the job done, radical pro-abortion groups like Planned Parenthood banned together to collect signatures.

And now, the Floridia Division of Elections verified over 911,000 signatures collected – more than was needed to get the abortion amendment on the ballot, Live Action News reported.

So just how bad is it?

The pro-abortion amendment reads “No law shall prohibit, penalize, delay, or restrict abortion before viability or when necessary to protect the patient’s health, as determined by the patient’s healthcare provider. This amendment does not change the Legislature’s constitutional authority to require notification to a parent or guardian before a minor has an abortion.”

Those pushing the amendment hope the language will resonate with voters – and Florida’s Democratic Party is confident the measure will pass.

But Pro-Lifers in Florida aren’t giving up just yet.

The last line of defense

The ballot measure still needs approval from Florida’s Supreme Court, with arguments scheduled in February.

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody is calling on the Supreme Court not to accept the amendment since the language is so ambiguous and doesn’t define words like “viability” or “healthcare provider”.

Florida Family Action Political Director Aaron DiPietro agrees.

DiPietro said “Obviously, a healthcare provider could be an abortion clinic doctor, but it could also be an abortion clinic worker, it could be a foot podiatrist. It could be a physical therapist. It could be a mental health counselor,” The Washington Post reported.

But of course, that’s the point – the abortion lobby wants to keep language as vague as possible to ensure loopholes will allow abortions to expand in Florida.

If the Florida Supreme Court approves this deadly ballot amendment – abortion activists from all over the country will dump millions in to make sure it passes, just like they did in Ohio.

Roe v. Wade may be overturned – but the battle for life is heating up at the state level.

Now more than ever, Pro-Lifers cannot sit back and be silent – unborn babies need those with a voice to fight for them.
