Radical pro-abortion zealots will say and do anything to promote the mass murder of babies.
They will even commit arson, vandalism, and acts of violence against Catholic churches.
But now this leading Democrat member of Congress is getting destroyed for saying abortion is consistent with the Catholic faith.
Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) was blasted on social media over a recent tweet she posted attempting to explain why her Catholic faith inspired her to “defend a woman’s right to access abortion.”
“I am a Catholic — baptized, raised, and confirmed”
The Connecticut Democrat posted, “I am a Catholic — baptized, raised, and confirmed” along with a link to a statement from so-called leftist “Catholic” Democrats explaining their opposition to the repeal of Roe v. Wade on the one-year anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision.
“The fundamental tenets of my faith compel me to defend a women’s right to access abortion,” DeLauro added. “I am proudly part of the faithful large majority of US Catholics who support legal protections for abortion access.”
DeLauro’s tweet was of course widely panned and “ratioed” on Twitter, primarily by Catholics who pointed out one very major flaw in DeLauro’s position.
Namely that Catholic teaching is very clear that the church considers abortion a “moral evil.”
One Catholic scholar went so far as to tell us “DeLauro, and any so-called Catholic who claims to be part of the Church while supporting abortion, simply isn’t an actual Catholic.”
“You can call a man a woman, a dog a cat, but that doesn’t make it so, and you can claim to be anything you want, but the Church believes in one truth, and DeLauro doesn’t believe it,” he continued.

And conservative commentator Liz Wheeler said, “The Catholic Church declares abortion a grave moral evil, a mortal sin, rejecting Christ in the baby killed. You can’t be a Catholic in good standing & support abortion. By supporting abortion, you are rejecting Catholicism & Christ. I encourage — & pray — you will go to confession.”
Even RealClearPolitics Senior Writer Mark Hemingway weighed in, “I don’t have any idea what ‘fundamental’ is supposed to mean here, but the literal tenets of her faith say abortion is a serious sin.”
In the DeLauro’s statement that was linked in her tweet, the so-called “Catholic” Democrats explained that “the separation of church and state means allowing for our faith to inform our public duties and how we best serve our constituents — not that we impose our religious beliefs and customs on others who may not share them.”
That led conservative strategist Giancarlo Sopo to respond, tweeting, “None of us are perfect. Grossly distorting a faith shared by over 1 billion people just to fit your politics is some narcissistic bulls***.”
Democrats will stop at nothing, even destroying Christianity itself to allow the murder of children to continue.
Hopefully Americans will see through this and send them packing.
