This teenage singer just soared to the top of the country charts with a song that has Joe Biden seeing red

Taylor Swift continues her reign as the top pop diva in the world.

But it turns out many music fans are craving something different than Swift’s left-wing and oversexualized lyrics.

And this teenage singer just soared to the top of the country charts with a song that has Joe Biden seeing red.

Teenage country sensation Rachel Holt’s powerful pro-life anthem, “I Was Gonna Be,” has soared into the top five country music songs on iTunes.

Standing behind pro-life values with actions

And it just hit #1 on the iTunes Top 40 Country Music Videos Chart.

Breitbart News recently interviewed songwriter Chris Wallin about the song he wrote, from the point of view of a baby that never had a chance to be born, for 18-year-old country singer Rachel Holt.

Wallin is the Nashville hitmaker who wrote Country music chart-toppers for superstars like Trace Adkins, Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Montgomery Gentry, and Toby Keith.

Breitbart asked Wallin what it felt like for a song like, “I Was Gonna Be” to break into the top ten.

Wallin answered, “I’m just humbled honestly. When I first started writing this song I didn’t think anyone would ever actually sing it. I wrote it because I thought something had to be said.”

“Now with the help of patriot organizations like Breitbart, Timcast IRL, and Patriot Mobile we are currently sitting at #9 on the iTunes Charts,” Wallin told Breitbart. “Thank you for actually standing behind your values with actions. It’s rare these days.”

“I Was Gonna Be” was timed to hit the major streaming platforms on the first day of National Celebrate Life Weekend and just a few days before the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade.

And it’s been quite a ride for “I Was Gonna Be,” a song Wallin said he had no major commercial expectations for when he wrote it.

In addition to his songwriting, Wallin serves as head of A&R for Baste Records, which is a Nashville based label whose slogan is “the Counter-Culture Music Company.”

In his exclusive interview with Breitbart News Daily’s Mike Slater on Sirius XM, Wallin said his goal is to “make great music first that just happens to say what we believe” and that the rest will take care of itself.

A powerful pro-life message from the younger generation

The song is also a powerful pro-life anthem for the 18-year-old Holt and has helped put her into the forefront of Country music.

In an era of woke female country singers like Taylor Swift, Kacey Musgraves, and Chely Wright, Holt’s embracing of the pro-life anthem is refreshing and most welcome.

Holt is a native of Milan, Indiana and signed her first record deal last December with Baste records.

In January, Holt released an album entitled “Missin’ Home.”

Her pro-life anthem is currently available for streaming and purchase, and if this song is any indication, expect even more big things from Holt.
