As the Presidential race heats up Tim Scott is finally taking the gloves off.
Hoping to differentiate himself from his running mates, Scott fired off a few choice words at his opponents.
And now Tim Scott just accused every other Presidential candidate of being weak on one key issue.
Trump’s act of betrayal continues to cause waves
Trump continues to insist he will be a “Pro-Life” President – but his latest comments calling DeSantis’ Heartbeat Act a “terrible mistake” proves otherwise.
Scott wasted no time calling out Trump’s hypocrisy.
“I think the former President is wrong on the issue,” Scott told Fox News Digital.
“He was a pro-life president. We need a pro-life president in the future,” Scott continued.
While it’s obvious Trump would not be a Pro-Life President – Scott took his few moments of fame as a chance to slam other Presidential candidates as well.
Tim Scott calls out Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis
But Tim Scott didn’t just knock Trump – he actually called out Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis by name and alluded they would be just like Trump.
“President Trump, and Governor Haley and Governor DeSantis have all run away from protecting life as the next President of the United States,” Scott declared.
Of course, his statement is only half true.
Governor Haley was called out by Pro-Lifers when she criticized the overturning of Roe v. Wade – and Pro-Lifers already know she’s a moderate RINO who doesn’t stand for life.
But Ron DeSantis?
He is a hero of the Pro-Life movement.
While other politicians talk about being “Pro-Life” – DeSantis actually puts action behind his words.
He signed the life-saving Heartbeat Act into law – despite criticism from RINOS in his own Party.
And now that the pressure is on for politicians to cave on the issue of life – DeSantis could have taken the bait – but he remained resolute in fighting for life.
Honesty and integrity matter
Tim Scott may have hoped his cheap shots would score him political fame or cause a shift in the polls by a point or two.
And while he was right to call out Trump and Haley for their betrayal of Pro-Lifers – he needs to be careful with accusing DeSantis of something he’s not guilty of.
Scott can boast about his Pro-Life position – and there’s nothing wrong with that.
But he better be careful if he thinks he can win the label as the most Pro-Life candidate in the race . . .
. . . as Ron DeSantis has proven time and time again, in both word and deed that he is by far the most Pro-Life Presidential candidate running for office.
DeSantis doesn’t “run away” from the fight for life – he runs to it – carrying the torch for life and guiding Pro-Life policy however he can.
